This classic blue, made since 1927, owes its fine quality to the rich soil and verdant pastures of Denmark. Slightly crumbly and extra-creamy with abundant blue veining, it is even creamier than our Danish Blue Cheese. Straightforward and consistent, it is a wise choice for melting over a burger or stirring into a creamy salad dressing. Castello® Extra Creamy Danish Blue cheese has a fine, nutty, blue mould aroma with hints of marzipan and a soft bitterness of sourdough, making it a favourite for cooking and snacking. This cheese holds a PGI (protected geographical indication) status and can only be produced in Denmark following strictly controlled production methods.Ingredients
